The Gold Country Region of the American Red Cross has a rich 100-year history of helping communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters in 24 counties located in Northern California.
In 1917, the Red Cross National Headquarters drew members together and formed what is known as the Gold Country Region.
Most recently, this Region partnered with Direct Line to provide disaster recovery support to the Oroville Dam community evacuees. As the emergency dispatch service provider for the Region, our call center took hundreds of calls in an effort to facilitate the deployment of volunteers needed to support the evacuation efforts.
Please join us in honoring their past and celebrating their present as they continue to build a strong future in support of local communities.
